I have been blessed with being around horses since the age of 2. As a lifelong and dedicated equestrian, I possess in-depth experience in multiple disciplines within the equine industry; including riding, training, horse safety, competition, horse health care and maintenance. My ability to connect with the unique individuality of each horse, allows me to communicate with the horse with sincere empathy and understanding. I believe in treating each horse with the utmost care and respect they deserve.
I have worked with numerous horses at different levels. From starting young horses,to training for competition, or out on the trail. I train horses with the mindset of “patience is a virtue” and give each horse the utmost respect they deserve.
I have ridden & shown competitively most of my life, first in speed events and now my passion focuses on showing in the “Western Performance” scene.
I started training my own horse “Ricochet” for Western Performance Showing in 2012. In his first three years of showing, we achieved overall Champion in our division. In 2014-2015, Ricochet proved himself as a trusting mount and was shown by a lady who was new to the show ring. I am very proud to say, the team brought home a lot of first place ribbons showing together! A new team formed with Ricochet in 2018. His youngest student who is 11 years old,and who has been riding him only for a short time, decided to take a leap and show for her first time! I am very proud of the two of them, they did so well together! We are very excited to see them in the show pen this year!
Two more of my "favorite show horses" I have had the pleasure to train and compete with, are "Sky's the Limit" & "My Fella's Artwork".
“Sky’s the Limit”, was such a pleasure to train and show! Placing “Reserve Champion” in her division in her first year of showing, and loved the show scene! I started "My Fella's Artwork" under saddle in September 2016. We went on to the show ring, summer of 2017 and achieved High Point Champion for her division.
Whether you are looking for an all around trail horse, starting & desensitizing your youngster, breaking bad habits, or fine tuning for the show ring, I am confident that I can make your horse truly a pleasure to ride!
I invite all horse owners to the training sessions to watch and learn what is being done with your horse. I can provide lessons for you on your horse, to develop your bond with them, while improving your riding skills.
I also invite you all to stop by any evening or weekend, to sit in on my training sessions.
